Dr. Aparna Dhawan, Head and Senior Counsellor at CII-Institute of Quality, has over 25 years of expertise in conformity assessment, standards, policy, and accreditation. She spent 15 years with India’s key accreditation boards, the NABCB and NABL, where she played a pivotal role in implementing accreditation programs, including those for validation and verification bodies (ISO 14065) and PT providers (ISO/IEC 17043). As an international assessor and trainer, Dr. Dhawan has extensive knowledge of multiple quality management and conformity assessment standards, including ISO/IEC 17011, 17025, 17020, 17029, 17024, 17021, and 17065; and ISO 14065, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001. She has been trained by the APAC and has also led training for APAC on key accreditation standards. Before joining CII-IQ, she worked with TUV SUD South Asia as General Manager (QA), leading quality and safety initiatives across South Asia, and later served as Executive Director at the TIC Council, Brussels, overseeing Indian operations. Dr. Dhawan holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Delhi, India.
