Syed Ateeq is a dynamic environmental professional with a strong engineering background and a passion for sustainable development. Holding an M. Tech in Environmental Engineering and a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering, he combines technical expertise with a strategic vision to drive impactful sustainability initiatives.

As an Associate Counselor at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Syed has spearheaded nationwide projects focused on net-zero roadmaps, water neutrality, and zero waste to landfills, helping industries transition toward greener practices. His work includes designing and implementing environmental and occupational health and safety management systems (EHS-MS) for diverse sectors, including automotive, oil and gas, and manufacturing; leading internal and external audits and training programs on energy efficiency, GHG mitigation, and water conservation; and collaborating with the CII-Godrej GBC team to benchmark corporate sustainability performance through the GreenCo Rating System.

A qualified lead auditor for ISO 14001, Syed has hands-on experience in life cycle assessment, carbon footprinting, and circular economy strategies. His project portfolio spans wastewater treatment, productivity enhancement, and renewable energy systems, delivering measurable cost savings and environmental benefits.
