Sangjun Bae is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Drones and Robotics at Sejong Cyber University, where he leads initiatives in education, research, and industry collaboration on drone and robotic systems. His academic focus includes AI applications in drone systems, multiagent systems for air traffic and UAV traffic management, and optimization techniques in transportation and manufacturing systems.
Before joining Sejong Cyber University, Sangjun was a Research Engineer and Part Leader at LG Display’s AI/Big Data Optimization Team, where he specialized in applying AI in supply chain management, automated ground vehicles, and process optimization in manufacturing systems. He also has significant research experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, working on electric vehicle charging systems and decision-making algorithms using game theory and reinforcement learning.
Sangjun holds a PhD in Multi-Agent Routing and Scheduling in Transportation Systems from Cranfield University, UK, and both an MSc and a BSc in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Sejong University, ROK. He has authored numerous papers published in prestigious journals and delivered at conferences, showcasing his expertise in advanced algorithms and AI applications.
