Dr. Olga Siemers is a Senior Lecturer in Public Policy in the International School for Government, King’s College London. Her consultancy and research expertise are at the intersection of government policy, strategic decision-making, and risk management in the context of global uncertainty and digital transformation. Over years of continuous engagement, Dr. Siemers has provided consultancy, capacity-building training, and executive coaching on transformation and public-sector innovation to leaders from different government departments, private companies, and intergovernmental organizations, including a range of public-sector organizations in the UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Argentina, Qatar, Malta, Jersey, the OECD, and the British Commonwealth. Dr. Siemers is a director for the Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) and Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Policymaking programs offered to mid-career civil servants through the UK Civil Service’s Policy Profession. Currently, she is researching whether and how cross-government collaboration and stakeholder engagement help policymakers navigate the constantly changing landscape of global policy challenges. Before joining King’s College in 2019, she was working at Oxford University and Open University as a Research Fellow and Tutor in Political Economy. Prior to her academic career, Olga was as an analyst in a private office of a Member of Parliament in the German Bundestag. She holds a PhD in Employment Research from Warwick University and an MA in Political Studies from Freie Universität Berlin.
