Yuki Higuchi is an Associate Professor of Economics at Sophia University, Japan. He obtained his Ph.D. in Development Economics from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Japan, in 2014. He worked as an Assistant and Associate Professor at Nagoya City University between 2015 and 2020 and joined Sophia University in 2020. His research focuses on development economics, particularly on industrial development and management of public and private organizations. He has experience in conducting randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in Vietnam, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Tanzania, and South Africa. His research has been published in refereed journals, such as World Development, World Economy, World Bank Economic Review, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and Economic Development and Cultural Change.
