Sanny Afable

Sanny D. Afable is a postgraduate researcher at the School of Geography and Sustainable Development, University of St. Andrews, Scotland, UK. His research interests mainly concern population health and its intersections with aging and intergenerational relationships, applying quantitative methods to high-quality, individual-level data from various settings.

He has an MA in Demography and a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of the Philippines (UP), where he worked on separate studies related to aging, migration, and youth at the UP Population Institute. His work has been published in PLOS One and Ageing and Health Research.
