Jan-Erik Johanson is a Professor of Administrative Science and Director of the Research Group on Public Management and Governance at Tampere University, Finland. He has compiled eight books and some hundred reports during his 30-year academic career. Johanson has recently published article User acceptance of strategic planning in Public Administration Review with B.George, DI. Jacobsen, Å. Johnsen and E.Pekkola. He has compiled a book Strategy Formation and Policymaking in Government with Palgrave, and compiled a book Chapter Strategic Management: Public sector view with E.Elgar. Johanson has evaluated public policies such as performance management within central administration and evaluation of COVID-19 measures taken by the government. He has taught and facilitated numerous strategic management exercises both at home and abroad. In addition to being passionate about strategic management, his interests include governance of hybridity, team-based organizations, public policy, and social network analysis.
