Euyjoon Lee

E.J. Lee is the solar geothermal energy RD specialist in the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) and professor at the University of Science Technology (UST), National Research and Educational Agency, ROK. Lee’s R&D vision is to be a global expert and helper in the solar geothermal heat pump field to support the ongoing zero and energy-plus building heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) society and industry. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Yonsei University and received an M.S. and a Ph.D. in HVAC-related Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1987. Lee worked on nuclear thermal safety at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) from 1987 to 1995 and since then has been working on renewable energy integrated systems (REIS) and participating in the IEA EBC Micro-generation Global Expert Meeting. He received a National Energy Award in 2018 for contributions and specialization as a solar geo-HVAC system R&D specialist recognized by businesses and industries in the ROK.
