Mr. Dean Parham is a productivity analyst from Australia. For a long time, Dean worked at Australia’s Productivity Commission where he developed and led a flagship program of research on Australia’s productivity performance. The research was designed to monitor and understand productivity trends at both industry and national levels and deliver policy-relevant insights.
Since leaving the Commission, Dean has continued to investigate productivity trends and public policy issues in association with a number of government, academic and private-sector agencies. These have included the Australian Treasury, the University of Adelaide, Australian National University, the Productivity Commissions of both Australia and New Zealand, the Bureau of Resource and Energy Economics and the Bureau of Communications Research. Dean has also had several assignments with the Asian Productivity Organization in recent years, focusing on measurement of public-sector productivity.
