Muhammad Saeed

Dr. Saeed is a former Director, Agriculture Department, Asian Productivity Organization (APO). He served APO for more than 18 years (March 2000 to December 2018) as a director, senior program officer, and program officer. Prior to joining APO, Dr. Saeed served as a faculty member of University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), Pakistan during the period of 1983-2000. At UAF he also held a concurrent position of the Director, Directorate of Crop Production and Water Management. Besides administration and coordination, he possesses a unique blend of international and national experience in the research and development of agriculture and food sectors in about two-dozen Asian and non-Asian countries. Dr. Saeed’s expertise includes planning, development, and execution of international capacity building programs and projects for promoting productivity, quality, and innovation (PQI) in the agriculture and food sectors aiming at enhancing global food security and international competitiveness. At APO Dr. Saeed planned, developed and implemented more than 200 international capacity building projects on diverse subjects relating to the development of smart agriculture, smart agribusiness, green productivity including organic farming and organic certification, climate change, and integrated community development. Currently Dr. Saeed is a consultant at the PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
