Course Description:

This course is to expose the learner with basic concept and principles of material flow cost accounting (MFCA) including ISO14051 which is the standardization of MFCA practices. The coverage will be such as the followings:

Module 1: General Concept of MFCA

Module 2: Background to the MFCA Standard ISO 14051 (Standardization History and Dissemination of MFCA)

Module 3: Understanding the MFCA Standard ISO 14051 I (Scope, Terms, and Definition) and Quiz

Module 4: Understanding the MFCA Standard ISO 14051 II (Objectives and Principles of MFCA)

Module 5: Understanding the MFCA Standard ISO 14051 III (Fundamental Elements of MFCA) and Quiz

Module 6: Understanding the MFCA Standard ISO 14051 IV (MFCA Implementation Steps)

Module 7: Final Exam

Course Objectives:

This course will equip the learner with basic and principles of material flow cost accounting (MFCA) and enhance their understanding of ISO 14051. This course is regarded as a complementary to the APO activities in the subject.

Important Notes:

1. Participants who register to take this course and pass the final examination with a score of 70% or higher will be eligible to receive the APO certificate. Please note that the final examination can only be taken once. Therefore, you decide when you choose to take the examination. Please note that the self-assessment quizzes are for your own evaluation and have no connection with the final examination results.

2. The above is applicable only to participants from APO member countries. Participants from nonmember countries are welcome to take the course for self-improvement, though they will not get an opportunity to attend the follow-up face-to-face multicountry APO projects.
