The advanced course builds on the foundational e-course launched in 2017 by introducing sophisticated productivity tools tailored for experienced practitioners and consultants. It includes productivity measurement, lean management, Six Sigma, TPM, the balanced scorecard, business excellence frameworks, knowledge management, and diagnostic tools.

While the new content emphasizes applications of AI and digital transformation strategies, including predictive analytics, visualization, and real-time decision support, time-tested productivity tools, approaches, and techniques with modern examples are also included. This course prepares participants for APO productivity certification and helps them apply advanced tools in both manufacturing and service contexts.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Apply advanced productivity improvement principles, tools, techniques, and approaches for organizational excellence;
• Enhance the competencies of practitioners, consultants, and trainers in productivity and quality improvement methods; and
• Learn about technology-based productivity tools for developing frameworks and strategies for organizational transformation.

Module 1: Roles and competencies of productivity consultants and trainers
Module 2: Excellence in action: Business excellence, lean, and continuous improvement
Module 3: The balanced scorecard, knowledge management, TPM, Six Sigma, and Green Productivity
Module 4: Productivity measurement 2
Module 5: Statistical analysis, visualization, and diagnostic methods; and AI and smart tools for digital transformation and automation

Important Notes:

1. Participants who register to take this course and pass the final examination with a score of 70% or higher will be eligible to receive the APO certificate. Please note that the final examination can be taken only once. Therefore, the most appropriate time to take the examination should be chosen carefully. The self-assessment quizzes are for personal evaluation only and are not related to the final examination results.
2. Participants who perform well in this course and receive the APO certificate will be given preference, on a merit basis, for selection to attend follow-up face-to-face multicountry APO projects on similar topics, when nominated by their NPOs and if slots are available.
3. Notes 1 and 2 are applicable only to participants from APO member countries. Participants from nonmembers are welcome to take the course for self-improvement. However, they will not have an opportunity to attend follow-up face-to-face multicountry APO projects.
4. Each module is in a prerecorded video format in which the expert delivers presentations by explaining each slide. Participants can access the video by clicking on the link provided under the title of each module.
